Comprehensive review course fully aligns with new ACCNS-AG test plan based on the Consensus Model for APRN Regulation
ALISO VIEJO, Calif. — March 11, 2014 — The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) has launched an online review course to help adult-gerontology clinical nurse specialists (CNSs) better prepare for the ACCNS-AG certification exam.
The new ACCNS-AG Certification Review Course fully aligns with the ACCNS-AG certification exam introduced last year, the only exam currently available for this CNS specialty that aligns with the new standards of the Consensus Model for APRN Regulation.
The ACCNS-AG certification is intended for CNSs educated at the graduate level who wish to provide advanced nursing care across the continuum of healthcare services (from wellness through acute care) to meet the specialized needs of the adult-gerontology patient population. This patient population includes young adults, older adults and the frail elderly.
Developed by AACN’s clinical practice specialists in collaboration with leading subject matter experts, the ACCNS-AG review course equips prospective certificants for exam success through a question-and-answer format that reflects the style of actual test questions and provides the rationale behind correct answers.
The course — which provides continuing nursing education hours — is available now in an interactive, on-demand format and is free when purchased with the exam. If purchased separately, the course is $159 for members and $199 for nonmembers.
