It explains how contrast agents provide information that supports diagnosis and reviews barium, iodinated contrast, gadolinium, carbon dioxide and microbubbles. Common uses, indications and cautions for each type are discussed. The video also addresses oral and intravenous (IV) contrast, IV access needs, contrast allergies, potential reactions and required emergency equipment.
