Trauma textbooks describe how the kinematics behind traumatic injury result in probable injuries. However, these forces may also result in missed, mysterious and surprising injuries that challenge the emergency and critical care teams. This session shares real case examples of patients whose unusual clinical presentations after initial resuscitation led to the discovery of occult and sometimes very serious injuries.Learners must complete the entire activity and the associated evaluation AND read Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes. No partial credit will be awarded.
