This presentation describes the work underway to develop AI-based clinical decision support as well as lessons being learned from that work, including demographic level bias. Additionally, Dr. Kenrick Cato discusses emerging AI technologies intended to improve nursing work in the inpatient setting, including work to reduce the burden of documentation. Finally, Dr. Cato discusses whether, overall, is AI helpful, hurtful or both.
