Before you Begin
1. Reflect on the following question: What new knowledge or perspective do you hope to gain from this activity?
2. Review: Implicit Bias and its Impact on Patient Outcomes (License requirement for California)
Description
Sepsis remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality across the life span, requiring timely recognition and evidence-based management to improve outcomes. Recent updates to the adult and pediatric sepsis guidelines provide important recommendations that influence assessment, diagnosis, resuscitation, antimicrobial therapy, hemodynamic support and ongoing monitoring. In this webinar, experts will review key recommendations from the latest adult and pediatric sepsis guidelines and discuss similarities and differences in management across patient populations. Participants will explore practical approaches to translating guideline recommendations into clinical practice, strengthening early recognition, supporting timely interventions and improving care for patients with suspected or confirmed sepsis. Real-world considerations and implementation strategies will be discussed to help nurses apply the latest evidence to bedside practice.
