Cardiovascular, Part 3 addresses the various cardiomyopathies (dilated, hypertrophic, stress-induced and restrictive), types of heart failure [HFrEF-heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (EF<40 %) (AKA systolic), HFpEF-heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (EF>50%) (AKA diastolic) and right-sided], as well as aortic and mitral valvular heart disease. Learners will apply an understanding of the different pathophysiologies to interpretation of clinical presentation and patient care management priorities.
